Blood Orange Mélange Smoothie

An antioxidant rich protein smoothie. Full of vitamin c, and potassium. This may be my favorite by far, it’s the first time, I really didn’t want to share it.

I finally was able to use my new blender, and I’m not quite sure how I feel about it as of yet. I like the glass container of the other blender, and it held more. I will give it a chance though. Actually, I have no choice after 2 months, I can’t send it back now.

It came with 2 24 ounce blender cups, 48 ounce container, and a food processor with a dough hook. I experimented with cookies, but they were too thick, so back to the drawing board on those.

For this smoothie you will need:

Base: Almond, or soy milk

Fruit: Blood orange, strawberry, mango, pineapple blend, and banana

Boost: Protein powder

Topping: unsweetened coconut flakes

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup almond milk (depends on if your fruit is fresh, or frozen)
  • 1 cup strawberry, mango, pineapple blend
  • 1 blood orange
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ½ cup ice
  • 1 scoop Protein powder (plant-based of choice)
  • ½tbsp coconut to top smoothie
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Blend all ingredients
  2. Top with coconut
